Carpentier Kitchen

Carpentier Kitchen in Surabaya is one of those spots that just nails the cozy, laid-back vibe. It’s tucked away within a residential estate alongside a few other cafes, giving it a bit of a hidden gem feel. The menu has a nice mix of options (the burgers looked pretty good!) - we just went for coffee (latte and cold brew), fried calamari, and chocolate cake. Fried calamari with the tartar sauce was pretty solid - the batter was nicely seasoned, and the sauce was very flavourful, with bits of onions and other unknown secret ingredients within. Chocolate cake was decent, I would have preferred a more moist version, and the cold brew interestingly came with lemon - made for an interesting taste, although it was a bit too bitter for my liking. The decor feels homey, with a touch of vintage charm that makes you want to settle in for a while. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and even browse around their little boutique section if you're in the mood to shop.

if only i could give you ten stars and one galaxy..... superb restaurant in town! a bit pricey but worth the taste. continental, asian, and Indonesian dishes. family friendly. they've been around since 2012. they build reputation very well!

It is always a 'YES' to visit here, this was my third times going back here. I found the interior itself quite interesting, cozy yet so artsy. The ambience and vibe are so chill and homey. The quality of the foods and beverages is very good. The service is nice. This place is more than just a cafe / restaurant. There are so many good stuffs you can buy from the local brand also. Leather products, vintage watch, etc ..you'll love it!

Carpentier Kitchen (located in Untung Suropati street, in the middle of Surabaya) strikes a rare balance retro chic atmosphere, shop and eat concept, varied and tasty food, friendly service also. Whether you're craving a hearty burger, creamy pasta, or a sugar-laden dessert, it's a delightful hangout spot in the heart of Surabaya. cheers!

Hipstery place with a 40+ page menu (pdf) which took ages to load. Inside were some small local traders selling niche items. Nice to browse. Setup is cool, aiming for social media posts food was decent. Variety of choices. Coffee was lacking in body and aroma. Higher price point. Good for meals of u r in the area.

Been going here since 2017. My favorite menu is Willas Chicken, I think is chicken cooked in the oven but what makes it special is the sauce. Ordered Coffe Ovomaltine & it tasted great. They have a really consistent food quality and thats why I am a regular customer.

Had lunch here last month. The food and drinks were good, with reasonable price. Service was good, too. Don't really like the set up of the restaurant with plain interior and combined with selling shoes etc. Parking was very lacking. Had to park quite far and walk.

This fabulous local restaurant and coffee shop serves outstanding fresh, healthy food and fabulous drinks. The chicken and salmon dishes are excellent and everything is made to order so very fresh. Prices are excellent. There is a shop at the front with fun local offerings from clothes to jewellery and Knick knacks.
